Brisbane: 35-year-old veteran Australian opener David Warner batting well in the first match of 'The Ashes' being played between Australia and England cricket team at Brisbane Cricket Ground in Brisbane.He managed to score 94 runs in 176 balls with the help of 11 fours and two sixes. Warner had a golden opportunity to complete the 25th century of his Test career today, although he missed it by just six runs. Warner was shown the way to the pavilion by 28-year-old fast bowler Ollie Robinson of England on a personal score of 94 runs.

Talking about the current situation of the Australian team in the Gabba Test, the hosts have scored 196 runs for the loss of five wickets at the end of 57 overs till the time of writing the news in the first innings.For the team, at present, Travis Head is unbeaten in six balls and wicket-keeper player Alex Carey, playing his debut Test match, remains in the field without opening an account in eight balls.
